The Dooars or Duars are the floodplains and foothills of the eastern Himalayas in North-East India around Bhutan. Duar means 'door' in Assamese, Bengali, Nepali, Maithili, Bhojpuri, Magahi and Telugu languages, and the region forms the gateway to Bhutan from India.[1] There are 18 passages or gateways through which the Bhutanese people can communicate with the people living in the plains. This region is divided by the Sankosh river into the Eastern and the Western Dooars, consisting of an area of 8,800 kmē (3,400 sq mi). The Western Dooars is known as the Bengal Dooars and the Eastern Dooars as the Assam Dooars. Dooars is synonymous with the term Terai used in Nepal and northern India and form the only nitrate rich soil in India.

Day 1
Arrival and pick up from NJP station / Bagdogra airport transfer to Gorumara..At afternoon visit Jalpesh Mandir. Night stay at /Lataguri,Chals/Murti.
Day 2
Early morning visit forest watch tower (Chapramari / Garumara - any one of the forest). Around 10 am start for Jaldhaka Hydel power project, Bindu (West Bengal-Bhutan International Border), Samsing & Suntallekhola. Night stay at hotel .
Day 3
After breakfast transfer from Gorumara to Rishyap. Enroute visit Lava Monastery. Night stay at Rishyap.
Day 4
After breakfast sightseeing to Loleygaon. Visit Heritage forest, Sunset point. Overnight stay at Rishyap.
Day 5
After breakfast transfer Kalimpong. Enroute visit Deolo Hill, Dr. Grahm's Homes, Mangal Dham, Kali Mandir, Tagore House, and Pine View Nursery. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 6
After breakfast departure transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra airport.
